I re-read the first Harry Potter book.

And it was…not good.  Not really good at all.  Go back and read that book.  Or, heed this post and don’t.

In the final books in the series Harry confronts death: his parents; his friends; and even his own.  By contrast, in the first book he worries about beating slytherin in the house cup race and whines about Snape.

Additionally, I’m not sure that J.K. even knew how to write before the third book.  “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”? No, no. More like “Harry Potter and It’s a Miracle that Rowling’s Publisher Agreed to Sequels.”

…Still No Job
